I have gained 12 years of experience working in different International Schools situated in the Middle East. Working as an advocate for students' Wellbeing and Pastoral Care, I have gained valuable experience in providing counselling services to the students. I am truly passionate about helping students navigate the intricate journey of education and personal growth. Adolescence is a pivotal phase where young minds are shaping their identities, and I find immense joy in being a part of their transformation. The ability to provide a safe space for students to express themselves, overcome challenges, and develop resilience is incredibly rewarding.
I believe in a holistic approach to counselling, where the collaboration of students, parents, and teachers plays a crucial role in fostering a supportive environment. We are committed to not only addressing immediate concerns but also equipping students with lifelong skills that empower them to become confident, well-rounded individuals. I am eager to become an integral part of this school's nurturing atmosphere. My goal is to establish a secure haven for BIS Abu Dhabi students during times of necessity while also serving as a valuable resource and pillar of support for both parents and caregivers.
The British International School Abu Dhabi (BIS Abu Dhabi) was deeply honoured to welcome Her Highness Sheikha Shamma Bint Sultan Bin Khalifa Al Nahyan to its campus on Thursday, 17 April 2025. Her Highness, President & CEO of the UAE Independent Climate Change Accelerators (UICCA) and The Climate Tribe, is a distinguished entrepreneur, thought leader, and researcher with a deep commitment to sustainability, climate change, and gender equity.
At The British International School Abu Dhabi, we believe that education is not just about academic success—it’s about nurturing compassionate, responsible young people who understand the importance of giving back. This Ramadan, I have been truly moved by the way our students have embraced the spirit of the holy month, demonstrating kindness, generosity, and a genuine commitment to making a difference in the lives of others.
Inspired by the latest Nord Anglia INSIGHTS article exploring why the Early Years are the most important years of a child’s education, we know that a child’s most significant learning happens during this time - in ways that are not always immediately visible.
