On the final day before half-term, we held the Grand Final of the Year 9 Dragons' Den competition. Year 9 students had spent two Guidance lessons devising a number of business ideas to help combat a lack of sustainability in our society, with each tutor group selecting a winning team to represent them in the Grand Final. In the final we were treated to a host of innovative ideas and some imaginative presentation styles. Our overall winners were 9 Calypso with their app: Goals For Clothes - an app designed to help people buy each other's unwanted or unused clothes. Their mission:
"To reduce the damage that fast fashion causes in the world. It is a major issue that causes lots of damage to the Earth and we need to do something about it. So, we created an app that helps people to reuse clothes and to be more sustainable fashion-wise."
It was wonderful to see our Year 9 students presenting well-researched, sustainable business ideas in such a thought-provoking way.
Well done to all Year 9 students for taking part.

Earlier this year, we had the pleasure of participating in the Nord Anglia Snowsport Expedition in the breathtaking region of Villars-sur-Ollon, in the Swiss Alps. This was the very first year our school organised an expedition like this, so it was definitely a one-of-a-kind experience.
Our Year 2 school trip to the Children's Railway this week was a great experience. We started our journey at Hűvösvölgy and made our way up to Széchenyi-hegy.
