This week, BISB lit up with enthusiasm as we celebrated World Children's Day (WCD) on November 20th. This day holds a special place in our hearts as it marks the introduction of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) in 1989.
Our secondary students dove into WCD-themed activities during the third period each day, exploring their rights and the UNCRC, along with getting a closer look at SDGs 4 (Quality Education) and 10 (Reducing Inequalities). Thursday was a sea of blue as students dressed up to show support for UNICEF's work.
Adding to the excitement, it was also Year 11's Service-Learning Action Week. Tutor groups focused on children's rights, from mental health to students' views and choices. One group even raised over 30,000 forints for Igazgyöngy Alapítvány, supporting the education of underprivileged children in rural Hungary.
The week was a hit, making it a memorable time for our students. It wasn't just about celebration - it was a shared commitment to understanding, compassion, and advocating for every child's rights. At BISB, we are proud to nurture global citizens dedicated to making a positive impact.

Earlier this year, we had the pleasure of participating in the Nord Anglia Snowsport Expedition in the breathtaking region of Villars-sur-Ollon, in the Swiss Alps. This was the very first year our school organised an expedition like this, so it was definitely a one-of-a-kind experience.
Our Year 2 school trip to the Children's Railway this week was a great experience. We started our journey at Hűvösvölgy and made our way up to Széchenyi-hegy.
