The BISB CanSat team has successfully completed and submitted the Preliminary Design Review (PDR), a critical milestone in the development of their miniature satellite. The PDR signifies the team’s readiness to move forward with the detailed design and construction phases of their project.
The CanSat team, comprised of the 6 dedicated students – Team Captain Calliope Tulea, Kada Ozaki, Sheng Yang, Zixuan Yang, Lorinc Liebhauser-Hoor, Benedek Ko,- and their mentor Mr. Majoros. They are on an inspiring scientific mission to design, build, and launch a small soda can size satellite which would collect data, communicate with the ground station and return safely to allow further analysis of the results.
In the PDR process the team completed their complex preliminary engineering design, including system architecture, subsystem designs, and mission planning.
The team is now focusing on the next phase, the detailed design, procuring components, assembling the CanSat and the necessary hardware/software testing and refining. They are looking forward to successfully complete this phase by the targeted mission deadline.

Earlier this year, we had the pleasure of participating in the Nord Anglia Snowsport Expedition in the breathtaking region of Villars-sur-Ollon, in the Swiss Alps. This was the very first year our school organised an expedition like this, so it was definitely a one-of-a-kind experience.
Our Year 2 school trip to the Children's Railway this week was a great experience. We started our journey at Hűvösvölgy and made our way up to Széchenyi-hegy.
