During the second half of last term, our Year 5 classes in Music, have been participating in a Global Juilliard Film Music Project. In their Music lessons, students explored film tones and how this supports a film composer’s intentional choices. They looked at the storyline, the characters and their journeys making initial musical choices to support these. As the project advanced students began experimenting with timbre and choices of instrumentation to help convey the genre and overall tone of the short film. Each class completed a cue sheet which was sent to Juilliard to be considered to have their work realized by a Juilliard film composer. Primary students in Nord Anglia schools across the globe participated in the challenge with only 5 classes being selected to have their submission realized by a Juilliard Film Composer. We are delighted that our Year 5 Cobalt class has been selected as one of the five classes globally and we look forward to hearing their final compositions later in May. A huge well done to all students in Year 5 for participating and congratulations to Year 5 Cobalt. We look forward to hearing your film composition.

Earlier this year, we had the pleasure of participating in the Nord Anglia Snowsport Expedition in the breathtaking region of Villars-sur-Ollon, in the Swiss Alps. This was the very first year our school organised an expedition like this, so it was definitely a one-of-a-kind experience.
Our Year 2 school trip to the Children's Railway this week was a great experience. We started our journey at Hűvösvölgy and made our way up to Széchenyi-hegy.
