This week our topic was ‘Pirates’. We started the week with many stories about Pirates for example, Pete the Pirate, Ten little Pirates. The children had a fabulous time playing pirates through all the dress up and role-play equipment provided.
They also made amazing pirate headbands and pirate masks. They then went on to make tea-stained maps, telescopes using toilet roll holders and pirate faces using paper plates. What an exciting week!
It was then off to get a little wet by walking on the plank through water during outside play thus developing their physical skills even further. Now we are real pirates off to sea.
The children explored a treasure hunt using equipment such as microscope, cameras, binoculars and a treasure map filled with directions to follow. We ended the week with some fun filled, lively Pirate songs that had loads of actions for us to do.

Our young adventurers in Year 3 took on two days full of fun, laughter, learning, and a touch of bravery on their Residential Trip this week. They returned with stories, smiles, and some seriously impressive new skills.
