The Social Impact and Charity Committee are pleased to be working with Dew Drops again this year and will be supporting the amazing charity in lots of different ways. We have been working with the charity since they started in 2016 and are working hard to raise awareness of this important cause. Dew Drops have three homes where they support children that have been abandoned with severe medical needs with the closest home in Shunyi. We have visited the home on a few occasions and the Social Impact and Charity Committee were lucky enough to visit again in November.
Representatives for the Primary and Secondary student body, teachers, senior leaders and parents visited the home and were lucky enough to meet several children that are staying there awaiting surgery as well as some of the carers that look after them. It was lovely to chat to the children at Dew Drops and we enjoyed playing together.
The little girl, Mu Mu, that the BSB Winter Fair is raising money for, was also at the home when we visited. Ticket sales for the BSB Winter Fair will pay for her next round of surgery as she has suffered extensive burns on her body.
The Social Impact and Charity Committee left Dew Drops inspired and ready to ensure that our BSB community does all we can to support an incredible cause.

The British School of Beijing, Shunyi Campus offers the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), which is renowned for its active learning approach. This method is integral to early childhood education, providing young learners with a solid foundation for their future academic and personal development. At BSB Shunyi, active learning means children learn by doing — through a thoughtful blend of teacher-guided activities and independent exploration that develops both their academic skills and their love of learning.
The British School of Beijing recently hosted BritMUN 2025, a Model United Nations (MUN) event that highlights the exceptional organisational and leadership skills of our students. This year's conference was a remarkable success, attracting student delegates from many different schools across Beijing, including the British School of Beijing, the International School of Beijing, Dulwich College Beijing, and Beijing World Youth Academy.
