Teachers artfully took the theme of sleep, to set the scene for a big Spanish sleepover on stage which came to life with discussions, dances and songs about the films our pupils watch together on an occasion like this.
The costumes, dance and music were beautiful, and no pupil missed their move or skipped a beat. The choreography was first class. However, what shone through even brighter was the linguistic prowess of our pupils. It was startling how our Primary aged pupils delivered lines in skits and in song in Spanish with a level of fluency and conviction that was a joy to hear.
Praise plays a vital role in supporting student wellbeing and motivation, particularly during exam periods when pressure and stress are often heightened. In these high-stakes moments, students may feel overwhelmed, anxious, or uncertain about their abilities.
