The Simon Lawrence Library is ready to kick off World Book Week 2019.
We are pleased to announce that the High School World Book Week 2019 will take place 25-29 November 2019. There will be a variety of exciting activities and events open to all students around the school during the week. The Library will host Golden Ticket Competition, Tissue Box Challenge and Take-A-Shelfie Contest. For more details on each activity, please see the posters shown below or posted on the walls around the school. You have plenty of time to prepare your entry to the contests. Winners will receive 3 House Points and THB 300~500 Book Vouchers and all participants will be awarded 1 House Point. In addition, two book vendors (Kinokuniya & Nanmeebooks) will be coming for our book fair during World Book Week 2019, offering a special discount to the St Andrews International School Bangkok community. Students at St Andrews International School Bangkok have begun an exciting artificial intelligence project: integrating Nord Anglia’s “Misty the Robot” with conversational AI model, ChatGPT. Under the guidance of our Head of Robotics, Mr Rob Parker, they recently presented their results to Regional Managing Director, Mr Shaun Williams, as well as the Board of Directors at St Andrews, with the proposition of growing this project as a collaborative research venture across Nord Anglia schools.
