As House leaders and Year 12 students, we began planning for the STA Halloween party a month before the event, continuing the tradition of Year 12s organising this event to gain valuable leadership and planning experience. Our main goal was to create a memorable experience for the Key Stage 3 (Year 7 to Year 9) students, which required careful coordination. We decided on leaders for different aspects of the event, recruited senior and Year 11 students as volunteers, and worked closely with teachers to ensure everything ran smoothly.
Throughout the planning process, we tackled various tasks such as designing the haunted house, selecting food, and organising party decorations. With 300 students to cater for, budgeting and schedule planning were key areas of focus. Collaboration and compromise were essential to ensure every aspect was accounted for.
This year, we created STA’s first-ever carnival-themed haunted house, which proved to be a hit—triggering plenty of frights and screams! We also incorporated this theme into the entertainment section, which featured games like dart throwing, scavenger hunts, ping-pong toss, and a photo booth, among others. To make sure we exceeded expectations, we worked with the Estates Team, the Drama and Art Departments, and various other teams.
On Friday, 25th October 2024, the night of the event, students were greeted by a spooky, illuminated atrium with Halloween-themed lanterns and balloons. They enjoyed a variety of foods and drinks, participated in multiple activities, and ventured through the carnival-themed haunted house. A live band performance and a disco rounded out the night, creating a highlight for many students and leaving them with unforgettable memories.
The event was a success, running smoothly from start to finish. This experience was incredibly fulfilling for all the house leaders and volunteers, and working with the Year 12 students created strong bonds. We raised over 40,000 THB which will be donated to charities such as Bangkok Community Help, which is currently working on flood relief efforts in Northern Thailand.

Their mission: to make learning interactive, inspiring, and accessible to all.
What happens when a group of curious Year 1 students walk into a classroom in chaos? A thrilling investigation begins! From scattered books to half-eaten snacks, the young detectives quickly got to work, uncovering a shocking truth—their mischievous toys had thrown an all-night party! But the excitement didn’t stop there. This unexpected event sparked a rich learning journey, helping students develop their literacy, critical thinking, and social skills in a fun and engaging way.
