Choosing a university course or career pathway is an exciting but daunting prospect. We know our students have big plans, and our in-school University and Careers Guidance Counselling Teams are here to make sure they have the skills, knowledge, and experiences they need to create their futures.

This includes helping our young people select the right academic subjects, explore different university options, and successfully navigate the application process. Our Counsellors also organise careers fairs, networking events, and university visits.

Getting to know your child
Our Counsellors will get to know your child, their talents, interests and ambitions. They’ll then ensure they’re following the right academic programmes, engaged in relevant, skill-boosting activities beyond the classroom, and developing the attributes they need to get into – and flourish at – their first-choice university or college.

Choosing the right university
Finding the right university takes a lot of research! Our University and Careers Guidance Counsellors will support your child through the decision-making process, exploring factors like teaching styles, course content, and potential career routes. They’ll also offer advice on non-academic considerations, such as location and lifestyle.

University fairs and networking events
Our Counsellors use their global connections to organise in-person and online university fairs, which bring representatives from top higher education institutions into our schools. These are fantastic opportunities for your child to ask questions, compare programmes, investigate scholarships, and take part in workshops.

Navigating university applications
The application process varies from university to university, course to course. Our Counsellors have an in-depth knowledge of what’s required, including country-specific criteria. They’ll steer your family through the different systems and processes, and ensure your child has everything in place.

Preparing your child to impress
From writing references and recommendation letters to staging mock interviews, our Counsellors will prepare your child for each stage of the admissions process. They understand the competencies and skills universities expect, and ensure every student is ready to impress. Our experts can also give advice on how to manage offers, as well as supporting the transition to university life.
